I've chosen to analyze the "Crying Gomez" meme, wherein these memes you'll find an image of Selena Gomez’s hilariously devastated face behind text of an unfortunate event that would leave you wearing one similar. You'll often find "shit" as the bottom line of the meme indicating the frustration behind each encountered disappointment.

Memes have short, white text,, normally jumping straight into the punch line. If memes where a paragraph long, honestly, they probably wouldn’t be as popular. Within the subgenre of Crying Gomez memes, one says (top line) "When your friend crops you out of a picture..." (bottom line) "shit." Comedy and concision is what has allowed memes to win over the timelines of social networks.
